Our Promise

We are committed to protecting our environment for future generations

Conservation, sustainability and regeneration are at the core of our operations.

To aid the regeneration of native flora and fauna, we have stopped running stock on 90 hectares of coastal land. This will also be home to our native kiwi through the Capital Kiwi program.

To fulfil our promise we will:

• Identify and protect high-value environmental areas on the property
• Develop environmental best practices to be reviewed annually
• Source sustainably caught and harvested produce
• Manage waste practices – reuse, reduce and recycle
• Comply with local and national environmental laws
• Support our neighbours, local businesses and community by building long-term relationships and supporting sustainable improvements to the environment
• Earmarking 90 hectares of land for native bush regeneration consisting of Tauhinu, Mingimingi, Whiteywood, Ngaio, Kanuka and Pimelea

To support this we will:

• Work with our managers to develop and deliver plans for environmental improvements
• Develop long term environmental plans for our property
• Internally report and monitor our environmental performance
• Create a culture with employees with respect to our environmental practices
