Just a short stroll from The Lodge, our clifftop ceremony space overlooks endless ocean and sky. With panoramic views as your backdrop, it’s an unforgettable setting to exchange vows in the company of your closest people.
After the ceremony, guests return to The Lodge for canapés, bubbles, and Boomrock’s signature hospitality. While they celebrate, you can slip away with your photographer to capture portraits in secluded spots across the property, each with incredible, unique backdrops.
Resident chef Vic Hughes creates seasonal menus that celebrate the best local ingredients. Thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, each dish ensures your guests feel indulged from the first canapé to the last course.
Just north of The Lodge, Pipinui Point is a private retreat perfect for getting ready on the morning of your wedding and unwinding afterwards. Conveniently located, it offers generous space, natural light, and complete privacy. The perfect place to begin the day in comfort and end it with an outdoor bath and roaring fire.
What’s included?
Boomrock is an all-inclusive wedding venue where every detail is considered. Our experienced Wedding Manager will work alongside your chosen vendors and oversee all operations—set up, pack down, catering, beverages, and guest transport—so you can relax and enjoy the celebration.
With your venue hire, you’ll receive:

Seating capacity
For a seated wedding, Boomrock comfortably seats up to 120 guests. For a cocktail-style celebration, we can host up to 130 guests in elegant style.
Transport
Due to our property being on a functioning farm we arrange all transport on and off the premises. We provide parking for up to 10 cars on-site (including vendor vehicles).

Boomrock is conveniently located on Wellington's west coast, only half an hour by road from the City and 6 minutes by helicopter.

We booked Boomrock for our wedding in January and it made our day so incredibly special. We are so incredibly grateful for the amazing team over at Boomrock, it wouldn’t have been the same without you guys.
The amazing and breathtaking location of Boomrock is so incredible, not to mention we somehow managed to get a calm summers day which was literally perfect. However, the team at Boomrock are so amazing and constantly through the whole entire process went above and beyond for us. This made the whole process so incredibly smooth and relaxed for us so that we didn’t need to sweat the small stuff. I can’t list out all the amazing things they did because there are so many small things they did (and probably some I have no idea about too!)
They are absolute pros and their service on the day was also absolutely amazing. Everybody who attended commented on how fantastic the day was, it just flowed and was so seamless (a HUGE thanks to Taylor for this!!) and how relaxed and fun the vibe was! We also got lots of comments about how incredible the food was and how impressive the table service was. Not only this, the guests really enjoyed the activities and made for an overall amazing, unforgettable day that we will definitely treasure for the rest of our lives.

When we went to see Boomrock for the first time, that was it. That’s where we were having our wedding. Photos of this place can’t do it justice, you have to go see it because it’s absolutely beautiful and in any type of weather.
We had our wedding here three weeks ago and we are still dreaming about it. We were able to customize our wedding at Boomrock and were even able to have our labrador at our ceremony! Boomrock obviously has many many wedding ceremonies there, but on our night, we felt like we were the only ones who has ever been married there. It was the most magical day/night. Alicia was just the best and was there to not only offer support with beverages but to make sure everything went to plan. And it did! Not one mishap! We loved working with Alicia because she was happy, enthusiastic and made us feel like she was just as excited for our wedding as us. We appreciated that she was calm and willing to make whatever we wanted happen.
Also the food was to die for! Guests went on and on about the food and so did we. You’d be safe with all dishes at Boomrock, they are amazing.
Our night was so magical and we thank all the Boomrock staff that worked hard to give us our night. We especially thank Alicia for being calm and patient with us while also just being literally happy for us. We couldn’t recommend this place more.
